Equipping U is a university-model of discipleship which seeks to equip believers with the knowledge and skills needed for personal growth and ministry.
We offer in-depth specialized classes designed to give systematic training in key areas of the Christian life that will help foster spiritual maturity and readiness for ministry.

FAITH Evangelism
Instructor: Kelly Hughes, Associate Pastor
Through practical training and practice, this course will give you the tools needed to confidently share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Visitation is a requirement for the class, therefore we will end approximately 7:45 pm each week.
FAITH Evangelism 2
Instructor: Jeff Goss
Learn to live a biblically authentic life as you intentionally journey together with others. This class will teach you FAITH leadership, key indicators of assimilation and how to build relationships into others with the Gospel. Completion of FAITH is a pre-requisite to this class, weekly visits will be made along with the members of FAITH. Each week class will end at approximately 7:45 pm.
Finding Your Place in God's Mission
Instructor: Larry White, Missions and Leadership Pastor
This study has been written and designed in an effort to help Christians discover what it truly means to be on mission for Jesus Christ. In order to be effective Christians, faithful disciples and obedient servants, we must choose and develop an ongoing lifestyle of being on mission for our Lord in all of the mission fields of our lives. This material will help us discover the God-given task of winning a lost world to Jesus Christ and encouraging others to join His mission.
Perseverance: Lessons from the book of Numbers

The book of Numbers is a very important part of God's Word. It is the story of Israel's trials, disobedience and miraculous deliverance of God's remnant in their wilderness wanderings. The doctrine of perseverance is a very important aspect of the Christian walk. The Apostle Paul says that these things happened to Israel as an example for our instruction. (1 Cor. 10:11)
Personal Disciplemaking: Making Disciples One at a Time

This course will equip you with the skills needed to personally come alongside a new or young believer and help them mature in becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ. you will learn how invest your life in the life of another to help them grow in their faith and equip them to disciple others.
Principles of Sermon Preparation
Instructor: Steve Dighton, Senior Pastor
Pastor Steve will be leading a 12-week class on how to prepare and preach Bible messages. The class will spend 6 weeks on theory and the other 6 weeks will be on actually preaching. This class would benefit anyone who not only has been called to the ministry but to anyone who would like to know how to teach a Bible lesson effectively.
Raising a Modern Day Joseph
Instructor: Chris Williams, Childrens Pastor
As parents, we strive to help our children grow to their full potential. The life of Joseph offers parents a biblical standard for building children of character. You will come away with a rock solid plan to instill biblical faith in them.
The Word/Faith Movement
Instructor: Jeff McCracken
This class will look at the Word/Faith movement and its well known leaders. We'll examine the heretical teachings on God, Christ, faith, revelation and salvation that permeate this movement.
World Religions: Global Missions at Your Door
Instructor: Andy Holder
We will survey Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Atheism. You will be equipped to understand the basic tenets of these religions, to answer their challenges and questions, and to find common ground for evangelism.
Worship: The Great Commandment
Instructor: Bill Shiflett, Worship Pastor
This class focuses on defining Biblical Worship and building on lifestyle of worship. This is not a music course but rather a study on building habits of praise, confession, thanksgiving, and intimate communion with God in your life as a believer. The course is 10-weeks in length and is scheduled to end November 21st.
