John joined the Lenexa Baptist staff in January of 2004 as the Singles Pastor. He has a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. John and his wife, Amy, have been married since 1997 and have three children, Andrew, Elisabeth, and Jacob.

At the age of 15 during a Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp John placed his faith in Christ and realized the truth of
Ephesians 2:8,9 which says:

It wasn't until a few years after college, while working as a bank auditor, that John felt the call to full time vocational ministry. He then left the banking industry and joined the staff at the University of Oklahoma Baptist Student Union in order to disciple university students.

After a few years ministering and discipling college students John and his family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, in order to finish his seminary degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. A year after graduating seminary, John joined the staff at Lenexa Baptist.

John loves to study and teach God's Word. His other hobbies include reading and sports. He desires to build an effective singles ministry through teaching, personal discipleship, community, and outreach.
