Edmond joined the staff at Lenexa Baptist Church in January 2007 as Senior Adult Pastor. He came to Lenexa after 41 years in pastoral ministry, mostly in the state of Kansas, but one pastorate was in Colorado and one was in Illinois. He went to Chicago, Illinois to study at the Moody Bible Institute where he graduated from the Pastor's Course in 1964. His Bachelor of Science Degree was earned from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas in 1995.

Edmond's wife Karen is a part-time secretary for Tonganoxie United Methodist Church. Edmond and Karen have been married for 42 years. They have four children; a son who is a pastor in Wisconsin, two daughters who live in Kansas City, Kansas, and one daughter who lives in Springfield, Missouri. They have eleven grandchildren.

As a result of Christian parents, a Baptist Church, and a Child Evangelism class Edmond trusted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at the age of six. God called him to be a pastor during his junior year of high school.
