Larry White joined the staff at Lenexa Baptist Church in March of 2002 as the Children's Pastor. He served for a period of time in the dual capacity of the Children's Pastor and the Church Administrator. In September of 2006, he became the Executive Pastor.

In January 2010, he transitioned to Missions and Leadership Pastor. Larry and his wife Michelle celebrated their twentieth anniversary in December of 2006. They have three children, Becca, Hannah, and Marcus. Larry graduated from Calvary Bible College in 1999 with a degree in Bible and Organizational Leadership and from Liberty Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Religion.

For the first 4 1/2 years at Lenexa Baptist Church Larry and Michelle worked together to develop the children's ministry called "Kidz Street." It truly has become one of the finest Children's Ministries available in Kansas City. Throughout that time, Larry also oversaw and was involved in many of the projects and programs of the church. Included in this was the building of the Family Life Center, two Purpose-Driven Campaigns, regular preaching assignments, budgeting and finance, as well as the administrative functions of the church.

Larry became a Christian in 1989. While listening to Greg Laurie on the radio, he realized that he had never asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior. He prayed and accepted Jesus as his Savior that day. At the time, Larry was the vice-president of a family-owned construction business, and had been trained to run the business for the second generation. But God had other plans and Jeremiah 29:11 became a personal testimony for Larry:

" 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future.' "

While attending a Promise Keepers conference in Denver, he once again heard Greg Laurie speak. It was at that time that he felt God calling him into the ministry.

Since that time, Larry has sought to accept the challenge as given in 2 Peter 3:18 which says:

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever! Amen."

His heart's desire is to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ and to inspire others to do the same.
