Missions Pastor, LBC
Campus Pastor, Fellowship INTL
Larry White has served on staff at Lenexa Baptist Church since 2002. During this time has filled several roles including Children’s Pastor, Executive Pastor and Missions Pastor. He is now also serving as the Campus Pastor for the Fellowship International, the new multi-ethnic campus of Lenexa Baptist Church. His heart’s desire is to see that nations reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The motto that he has adopted for this effort simply states, “From our neighborhoods to the nations.”
Larry became a Christian in 1989 while listening to Greg Laurie on the radio. He realized that he had never surrendered his life to Jesus to be his personal Lord and Savior. So, on that day, Larry prayed and accepted Jesus as his Savior. At the time, Larry was the vice-president of a family-owned construction business, and had been trained to run the business for the second generation. But God had other plans and Jeremiah 29:11 became a personal testimony for Larry:
“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future.”
While attending a Promise Keepers event in Denver, Larry knew that God was calling him into the ministry. Larry graduated from Calvary Bible College in 1999 with a degree in Bible and Organizational Leadership and from Liberty Theological Seminary in 2009 with a Master of Arts in Religion.
Larry and his wife Michelle celebrated their twenty-fifth anniversary in December of 2011. They have three children, Becca, Hannah, and Marcus. They have helped him realize the verse in 3 John 4 which states, “I have no greater joy than this, to know that my children walk in the truth.”
